Mount Fuji, Japan
1st 3rd: What i like about this is the color of the sky and the tip of Mount Fuji, they both follow the same color scheme of blue and white. It seems very symmetrical for a mountain, the blueness of the sky adds to this photo as in black and white this photo would look plain.

2nd 3rd: What i like about this part is the blackness of the divide between real and fake, this thick black shadow over the trees also reflects into the water with the mountain. This is where the horizon is but the photographer has moved it off center by just a bit so you get more sky in the reflection.. The mountains reflection looks like its lucid and dreamy as opposed to the real mountain.

3rd 3rd: There is more sky here than in the real one above it, i think it looks really nice with the water causing the sky to darken as it gets closer to the foreground. This is interesting inside itself.
Due to this being taken on a diital camera the image could hve been manipulated, the vibrance or brightness levels could be changed to give the photo more life.

Horse, Fiji
1st 3rd: The blurriness of this photo makes it look like its raining, the fact its in monochrome also makes it look like its miserable and dark. Even though its really blurry you can still make out where the horse's body is. The tree on the far side kind of looks like its being rained on, also the clouds and the grey streaks in the background behind the horse look sad and upsetting just like the mood of this picture.

2nd 3rd: The dark grey looks nice against the lighter grey of the sky, this contrast goes onto the foreground with the dark grass on the far right of the picture.

3rd 3rd: The foreground of this picture is much much darker than the rest of the photo, the long streaky grass and rain follow this pictures theme of sadness and darkness.
This photo was taken on a digital camera because apart from the delayed shutter speed the photo is too controlled to be film based. It also may have been edited afterwards just to clean up the image and play with the light levels.
