Frosted Fern
This very frosted photo looks very cold and beautiful, the dead and blue flowers surrounding the green of the fern show how resiliant it is and is the only survivior of the winter cold. The way the leaves branch off in all directions leads your eye down the rest of the photo to the other leaves. You can see some of the brown of the dead leaves behind the green lively fern, with the white ice encrusting the blue and green leaves it outlines the leaves and gives them borders. It also has a isolated feel about it, the sense that this is the only living plant in the frame. The natural feel with the blue tint really emphasises the coldness of the photo and adds a cool relaxing aura. A digital camera was used to take this photo, the lens used may have been a macro seeing as the subject is quite close to the camera. Some color correction has been used to get the greens and blues as bright as they are.

Sun Through Frosty Birch

The feel of this photo in comparison to the other one is warm yet still has a cold feel. These photos are both the same weather apart from the location of the sun and the lighting. In this one the sun gives this photo a warm autum feeling even though its winter, the use of oranges and browns along with the sun work well in this shot. as opposed to the other photo there is loads of leaves and living plants in this photo coupled with the heart shaped leaves it avoids isolation and welcoms the feeling of community and togetherness. The background being heavily blured makes you focus on the leaves and branches in the foreground. This shot has been captured with a digital camera from a short distance away, the sun has been edited to be brighter than normal and due to the warm colors the oranges and reds have been boosted.
